4th Financial Inclusion Conference – Roads to Resilience
Financial Inclusion Awards
The 2nd annual Financial Inclusion Awards provide an important opportunity to recognise success stories and innovative ideas, raising the profile of financial resilience and celebrating those who are working towards it.
Award finalists will be announced prior to the conference. Winners will be announced and awards presented at the conference dinner on Wednesday 16 February 2022, beginning soon after 6:30pm at the Financial Inclusion Conference venue, SMC Conference & Function Centre. Delegates wishing to attend the awards must purchase a ticket to the conference dinner.
Award nominations are open until 14 January 2022
The 2nd annual Financial Inclusion Awards are now open and are free to enter. Submit your nominations now. Nominations are open until 5pm on Friday 14 January 2022. All nominations are reviewed on a number of criteria and the overall impact on financial inclusion.
All Award nominations made before Roads to Resilience was postponed in 2021 must be renominated.
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate people, projects and organisations that have made a significant contribution to promoting Financial Inclusion in Australia. They provide organisations and individuals with an opportunity to:
- Be recognised for efforts and achievements in the innovation of programs and services in the area of financial inclusion.
- Raise awareness and public profile of your work through increased publicity and media exposure.
- Network with community, government and private sector leaders throughout the Awards program and associated events including the 4th Financial Inclusion Conference, held over 16+17 February 2022.
- Be recognised as an inspirational organisation or leader in the field of Financial Inclusion.
- Help grow the Financial Inclusion movement in Australia and encourage the development of innovative ways to address poverty and social/financial exclusion.
Award categories
True Grit Award
Award eligibility:
- Nominee is a not-for-profit organisation or body operating within the community sector.
- Nominee has developed or delivered a service which builds financial inclusion or financial resilience.
- Nominee is able to demonstrate effectiveness and impact to the community.
Team Champions
Award eligibility:
- Nominee is a corporate organisation.
- Nominee has developed or delivered a service which builds financial inclusion or financial resilience.
- Nominee is able to demonstrate effectiveness and impact to the community.
Game Changer Award
Award eligibility:
- Nominee is a service, program or organisation.
- Nominee demonstrates innovation in a new and improved model or service that:
- builds financial inclusion
- builds resilient communities or
- responds to the impacts of natural disasters to build financial inclusion and resilience.
Pinnacle Award
Award eligibility:
- Nominee is an individual person.
- Nominee has demonstrated outstanding commitment in the field of financial inclusion, such as:
- social leadership,
- effectiveness and impact of their work, or
- exceptional contribution and commitment through their work.
Awards process
Our Financial Inclusion Awards committee is comprised of senior professionals from a selection of organisations within the Financial Inclusion Network, including not-for-profit, academic, government, industry and other stakeholders. Initial screening of award nominations is carried out on the basis of the information received regarding the nominee. The committee may also nominate projects that they feel should be considered.
