The NSW Financial Inclusion Network, in partnership with Northern Rivers Community Gateway and Centre for Social Impact, is excited to announce the second international keynote speaker that has confirmed to present at our upcoming 4th Financial Inclusion Conference – Roads to Resilience.

Now is the time to expand the conversation around financial resilience in order to shape policies and practices that steer Australia in the direction of positive financial wellbeing. Professor Sharon Collard

Professor Sharon Collard is Professor of Personal Finance and Research Director at the University of Bristol Personal Finance Research Centre in the UK.

Professor Collard conducts social research in a policy context and specialises in qualitative research techniques. Much of her research is around money management and credit use among low-income households. She has undertaken research with vulnerable groups, including a study of financially excluded people who use outreach money advice services; and the experiences of frontline debt advisers working with vulnerable clients.

During the conference, Professor Collard will present a keynote lecture titled The UK story of building roads to resilience at 9:30am on 18 March. She will also facilitate a workshop called The co-creation of more inclusive fintech in the Ionic Room at 11am on 19 March.
